CHANGE

I've seen just fragments of the inauguration ceremony and well, it was just another ceremony. Perhaps more significant because Obama is the first African-American who became president. What's important for me is that Americans have elected him. I think it was the best choice. I really want to believe in the CHANGE he promised to millions of his fellow citizents. I trust that he will live up to his promise.

teaching practice

Another year, another teaching practice.
BTW, it is already my third year (the first one was when I was still studying Applied Linguistics and it concerned teaching German).
I have to admit that I do enjoy my practice. I'm not stressed and I have no problems with the students, who are just great regardless of their English skills.
I do enjoy teaching, the observations, however, are a different issue. Sometimes they are just monotonous, especially if I have to observe the same lesson three times in a row.
I never really devoted much time to thinking whether I'm going to be a teacher or not. It, kind of, doesn't matter for me right now. I'm still thinking whether to go to the School of Translations and Interpreting or not and whether to focus on English or German. It's a question I'm consistently refusing to answer till the moment comes, when I will be literally forced to do it;D
I just don't know yet what my future occupation will be and I do not want to say that I'm never going to do this or that because who knows what's going to happen... ;-)

OK, so this is my childhood photo. Back then I was about 2 years old.
The actucal idea of my parents was to make a nice photo of me in the city centre, however, as you can see I didn't really want to cooperate;D They told me to stand still and started to walk off and I thought they were going to leave me, probably that's why I started crying. Anyway, it's probably one of my favourite photos:-)

Christmas memories

The scent of a christmas tree, my mom preparing my favourie dishes, spending time in family circle, anxious for the Santa to come and finally gifts ;D - these are my memories.
I loved Christmas time when I was a child.
I love it even now though people seem to be in such a hurry.
As if they couldn't slow down just for a moment simply to enjoy the unique atmosphere of these holidays.
